How a member concern becomes a government position
Advocacy at AmCham follows a transparent and inclusive model. Member concerns are raised through committees, developed into formal positions by working groups, and presented to government bodies through AmCham’s exclusive channels.

The Prime Minister’s Council on Improving the Investment Climate
Established 2012. A founding member and active participant since its inception.
The Prime Minister’s Council on Improving the Investment Climate was established in 2012 as a high-level platform for dialogue between the Government of Kazakhstan and the international business community. Initiated by the Prime Minister and supported by key ministries and agencies, the Council was created to identify barriers to investment, recommend policy reforms, and promote a more transparent, predictable, and investor-friendly business environment. AmCham has been a founding member and active participant since its inception.
amcham.kz/advocacyFor more than a decade, AmCham has conducted a dialogue with the Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Ministers on investment barriers that impact member companies and the government of Kazakhstan. The council has succeeded in addressing issues including on labor, tax, privatization, deregulation and the judiciary.
